Tours: Except for the Chorale annual fall tour, concert tours are charged separately.

Concert Attire: Singers are responsible for buying part of their concert attire per specification for each choir. The cost for the formal attire ranges from $30 to $65 depending on the choir group.

TUITION DISCOUNTS

10% discount is granted to each singer who has a sibling in any choir in the program.

A limited number of partial tuition scholarships will be awarded based on demonstrated financial need and a completed application.

FUNDRAISING DISCOUNT

Ames Youth Choirs has partnered with Raise Right - an app based fundraising system parents can use to purchase items they are already using (i.e. groceries, gift cards for special occasions, school clothes, home improvement products) which earn funds for the Ames Youth Choir. Some of the businesses who partner with Raise Right contribute up to 15% back to AYC!

AYC credits half of the money earned from this program to your student’s tuition or to one of the tours, and the other half to cover AYC operational expenses.

How to Make Tuition Payments

There are two main ways to make tuition payments:

Bring check or cash to a rehearsal

Tuition is assessed each semester. Payments are due the 1st of August (even though rehearsal doesn’t start until later in the month), and the first of the next nine months (Sept-May). Parents are welcome to pay once per semester, or split the payments over 5 months per semester.
