ABOUT US
The Ames Youth Choir (AYC) — formerly Ames Children’s Choirs was founded in 1995 by Dr. Sylvia Munsen, who served as Artistic Director for 16 years until June 2011. AYC program includes boys and girls ages 7-18 from Central Iowa communities singing in four choirs: Preparatory Choir, Chorale, Concert Choir, & Singers. AYC focuses on engaging youth in a fun community organization, while developing their vocal abilities, and building confidence through artistic expression that will carry them in all areas of life. Currently, AYC programs are under the direction of Mrs. Molly Boehjle and Mrs. Erika Johnson.
